ISLAMIC CIVILIZATION INSTRUCTOR
Prof. Dr. Ahmet ÇAYCI is Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Director of the Islamic Art History Department at Necmettin Erbakan University. A specialist in Seljuk and Ottoman architecture, his expertise ranges from symbolism and iconography to 19th century European photographs of the Middle East. The author of over ten books, Professor ÇAYCI has presented papers in many countries including Jordan, Hungary, Greece, Russia and the United States. For five years now, he has also been directing the archaeological excavation of Gevale Castle on the western edge of Konya.


ISLAMIC CIVILIZATION INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Kemal Enz ARGON is an Assistant Professor of the History of Religions in the Faculty of Theology at Necmettin Erbakan University. After he obtained his Master’s Degree from Hartford Seminary focusing on Islam in the modern world and writing a thesis in the area of Sufism in 2004, he received his Phd degree from Exeter University with a thesis on Islamic thought in South Asia in 2010. His area of interest covers; Islam and Modern World, mysticism, and dialogue between religions. He has been published in several academic journals and reference works in field.


ISLAMIC CIVILIZATION INSTRUCTOR
Prof. Dr. Bilal KUŞPINAR is Dean of the Social Sciences and Humanities Faculty and the Director of the International Rumi Center for the Study of Civilizations at Necmettin Erbakan University. Specializing in the history of medieval philosophy, his research investigates the various philosophical and mystical traditions that flourished in Islamic civilization. Prior to joining Konya Necmettin Erbakan University, he taught at several universities, including the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC), Kuala Lumpur, Concordia and McGill Universities, Montreal, and Ahlia University, Bahrain. Author of three books, he has also participated in many international conferences and seminars in his field.

APPLIED ISLAMIC ART INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Ali Fuat Baysal is the Deputy Dean of the Fine Arts Faculty of Necmettin Erbakan University as well as the Chair of its Traditional Turkish Arts Department. Previous to this appointment, he worked as a manuscript specialist in the Konya Regional Manuscripts Library and served as Chair of the Traditional Turkish Arts Department of Selçuk University, Konya. Professor Baysal is an expert on Islamic ornamentation. Since completing his Ph.D., he has published several books and articles in the field. Dr. Ali Fuat Baysal is also an accomplished artist and has taken part in many group exhibitions dedicated to the book arts.

ISLAMIC ART HISTORY INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Zekeriya ŞİMŞİR is an Assistant Professor at Islamic Art History Department of Necmettin Erbakan University. Besides being an expert on Islamic ornamentation, he is also a great calligrapher. Dr. Zekeriya ŞİMŞİR is also expert on Historical Site Conservation. He has many publications about Architecture and Architectural decoration of the periods of Seljuks and Ottoman. For five years now, he has also been the first deputy managing director of
the archaeological excavation of Gevale Castle on the western edge of Konya.

BYZANTINE ART INSTRUCTOR
Dr. İlker Mete MİMİROĞLU is the director of the Early Christian and Byzantine Arts Department and an Assistant Professor of Art History Department of Necmettin Erbakan University. He is an expert on Early Christian and Byzantine Arts. He has many books translated in different languages. He is also
working as a consultant in the restoration of some important churches in Turkey.

TURKISH HANDICRAFTS INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Hacer KARA is an Assistant Professor of Islamic Art History Department at Necmettin Erbakan University. Her research covers Bookbinding Arts, and Turkish Handcrafts. She has many articles in this field arts. In addition to her academic studies, she makes applications in Felt and Bookbinding Arts.

APPLIED ISLAMIC ART INSTRUCTOR
Fatma Şeyma BOYDAK is a Research Assistant of Turkish Islamic Arts History the Department at Necmettin Erbakan University. She is especially working on the Anatolian Seljuk and Anatolian Principalities Bookbindings. In addition to the academic studies, she makes applications of marbling and the Seljuk- Ottoman Bookbinding Art. She has many articles in this field of the arts.

APPLIED ISLAMIC ART INSTRUCTOR
Ayşe Zehra SAYIN is a lecturer at the Traditional Turkish Arts Department at Necmettin Erbakan University. After she revieved her Master’s degree from Necmettin Erbakan University with a thesis “16th century Illuminated Works at Koyunoğlu Museum’’, she is continuing with the Phd at the same university. She focuses on Illuminated Works from the Safavid Period. Besides her academic studies, she has a certificate of qualification and teaches illumination art. She has given lectures as an instructor in various foundations and associations courses. She has participated in many exhibitions with her works on illumination and miniature art.

APPLIED ISLAMIC ART INSTRUCTOR
Sami NADDAH is a lecturer of the Traditional Turkish Arts and Calligraphy Department at Necmettin Erbakan University. He participated in many international exhibitions, especially in Istanbul, Konya and such cities as, Damascus, London, Shangai, Algeria and Lisbon with his works and researches of calligraphy. He lectures on Calligraphic Design, Schools in the Art of Calligraphy, the History of the Art of Calligraphy, Preparation for Book Arts and Principles of Design. In addition to his mother tongue Arabic, he knows Turkish, Ottoman, Persian and English.

APPLIED ISLAMIC ART INSTRUCTOR
Rıdvan Ak is a lecturer of the Traditional Turkish Arts Department at Necmettin Erbakan University. He received his Master's degree from Marmara University with his thesis: 'Topkapi Palace Museum Library, the features of the Ornament Koran Placed in the Escrow Treasure numbered 48'. He is currently doing his Phd in the Turkish - Islamic Arts Department at the same university. He is currently working with Safavid illuminated manuscripts. He has attended a range of exhibitions that relate to his department in cities such as İstanbul and Konya and has achieved remarkable recognition with his miniature works in competitions.
